Steeped in Saint Emilion’s rich religious history, Château La Grace Dieu pays homage to the former Priory “A La Grace de Dieu”, which was founded by Cistercian monks in the Middle Ages. For centuries, the estate’s unique terroir has provided the perfect foundation for exceptional grape growing. The Pauty family, who purchased the Château in 1945, has upheld its legacy for four generations. Today, sister duo Christine and Valérie continue this tradition, producing exquisite wines that rival the best Crus Classés.
Château Lâ Grace Dieu’s terroir is a perfect blend of clay and sandy soils, laid over a thick layer of limestone. This family-run estate encompasses 13 hectares, cultivated with sustainable farming practices and hand-harvesting. The iconic blends of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Château La Grâce Dieu and La Fleur du Prieuré, are the epitome of elegance and finesse.
