At Château La Grangère and Château Saint Julian, three brothers share a deep love for the pure art of wine-making. Alongside their head winemaker and vineyard manager, Alexi Bentejac, they converted to organic farming practices in 2009 to keep their vineyard workers safe and protect their surrounding biodiversity.

Located on the sun-soaked hillside of the renowned Saint Emilion appellation, Château La Grangère’s 15 acres of vineyards are planted over limestone bedrock and shallow clay soils, the ideal environment for Merlot – the main component of their exquisite red blends. Located next to world-renowned Grand Cru Classés, the family follows a more discreet approach, preferring that their wines are known as “the best kept secret” – accessible wines with exceptional quality. The estate crafts its wines on-site and ages them in barrels, creating an elegant, delightful wines that make for an unforgettable tasting experience.

Château Saint Julian

Surrounded by rich biodiversity and situated atop a hill, Château Saint Julian is a one block, 30-hectare vineyard. Breaking from tradition, the vines are planted in a high density and managed in the Saint Emilion style. The estate benefits from a modern, semi-underground cellar which preserves temperature and humidity from extreme variations. the wine is aged in natural concrete tanks, providing the micro-oxidation necessary for softening the tannins.

Alongside its Bordeaux blends, Château Saint Julian has created a unique single varietal range that truly captures the essence of each different cultivar. Each cuvée is aged in porous, concrete tanks with minimal additives to ensure the purest terroir expression of each grape variety.
