Château de Birazel

AOP Bordeaux

Château de Birazel, a 12th-century estate in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, has been lovingly restored by the Boeckx family. After 25 years in the Dutch beer industry, they turned their passion to wine and architecture, and their commitment to tradition is evident in everything they do. The estate is operated in harmony with nature and local communities, with ecological hedges laid out to attract pollinating insects and nesting boxes for birds. More than 120 trees flourish on the property, including oaks, cedars, hazel trees, and more, and the park will soon have 6 hectares of truffle oaks, 2 hectares of olive trees, and lavender.

The Boeckx family is devoted to authenticity and quality. In 2020, they welcomed their first vintage in their state-of-the-art cellar, using a combination of oak tuns, amphorae, barrels, and diamond tanks, with guidance from some of the region’s top enologists. Château de Birazel combines tradition with innovation to offer luxurious wines that are approachable enough to enjoy now while also being well-structured and balanced, making them perfect for cellaring and aging for years to come.
